Austin Niko Suarez's work is one of the few examples of how Urban Punk, Street and Graffiti-based art and social media practice, together could quickly become a fully recognized, critically embraced and popularly celebrated genre of the Philippine artistic phenomenon.
Despite his work's " unstudied " appearance, Suarez has very skillfully and purposefully brought together in his art a host of varied traditions, practices and styles to create a unique kind of visual collage born of the streets from his urban Manila origins.
Austin is the new "Street" artist taking what is normally accepted and contradicting it into the outrageous, it is urban Manila looking back at us through the eyes of this young artistic visionary.
His work is insightful and fearless and he displays prophetic insight into the world of " Street ", for some critics Suarez is the cultural contradiction.
For many of the art world observes, his work is symptomatic of raw urban Manila, street graffiti, social media and the technology age that we are currently living through.
